With over a decade of experience in leading clinical trials, Karen has successfully guided numerous projects from early-stage development through to market entry, specializing in trial design, regulatory compliance, patient recruitment, and data analysis.

Under Karen’s leadership, KLEO has become a trusted partner for companies, particularly those working towards market adoption in underserved communities. With an emphasis on cost-efficiency and accelerated timelines, Karen has helped KLEO’s clients save over $2M in 2023 alone, compared to competitor bids, through a low-overhead, integrated business model.

In addition to clinical trial expertise, Karen has a strong commitment to improving health equity. For over six years, Karen has worked closely with the rural and American Indian communities on research partnerships and community-driven projects. This includes participating in tribal councils, cultural committee meetings, and organizing initiatives such as symposia focused on access to clinical trials for American Indian and Alaskan Native communities.

Throughout her career, Karen has spearheaded major initiatives. At the University of Montana, she launched a $4M grant-funded program to support health technology product development, bridging health innovation research in academic settings with product development and commercialization. Born and raised in Central Montana, Karen has a personal and professional dedication to improving health outcomes in rural and underserved populations.
